Reconnecting on Unima's campus

Aug 31, 2024
University campuses are uniquely positioned to act as agents of change in the transition toward sustainable development. A recent study exploring the role of campuses in "reconnecting humans to the biosphere" suggests that these spaces can be hubs for social-ecological innovations. By designing and retrofitting campuses with an ecological focus, universities can help to foster a new generation that is more connected to the environment. This involves more than just green initiatives; it's about creating a socio-cultural setting where sustainable practices are nurtured and empowered to spread throughout society.
